Royal Worcester - Rail & Chain Historical Jug

Rail and Chain c.1920

This unusual jug was inspired by a range of teawares that were made at Royal Worcester in the early 1920's, in particular one of a number of designs known as Rail and Chain patterns. In true 1920's style, the design is based on a classical hanging swag motif incorporated into a geometric band.
