Thomas Herbert Victor always lived in Mousehole and didn't even go any further than Truro throughout his life.

His watercolour paintings of the harbours and streets of all the local fishing villages, apart from their artistic merit, are of great historic value as a record of how West Cornwall looked 100 years ago.
